Expressive Drawing: A 5-Week Online Course
In July we are offering a 5-week online class in Expressive Drawing where we will explore new ways of thinking about and working to improve our freedom and expression through drawing.
Each meeting will focus on a new technique to help explore ways to open up, loosen up, and find a new freedom in enjoying the act and expression of drawing.
Each person will be encouraged to find their unique voice through a series of exercises including continual lines, working with negative space, creative and free mark-making, and more.
I want to emphasize that this class is for ALL LEVELS and experience in drawing.
How it works:
We will meet for 1.5-2 hours every Sunday in July (plus the first Sunday in August) live via zoom. We will discuss the day’s topic and Kelly will offer examples and we will draw together. There will be time for individual and group feedback, which is a crucial element of this class and why we will work together live.
There will be optional homework assignments to anyone who wants to continue to explore on their own. We will have a private Facebook group that is just for us where sharing and feedback are encouraged (but not mandatory). You will have access to me via email at any time where I am available to answer any follow-up questions you might have.
All of the sessions will be recorded and available only to the class participants if you can’t make it live for any reason or just want to rewatch and go through the lessons again.
Cost, Dates, and Times:
We will meet for 5 Sundays in July- the 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th and have our final session on August 2nd
Class meeting time will be 4 – 6 pm Rome time (find out what time that is where you are)
Cost is $180 or can be made in 2 payments of $95
